Would you please be my valentine?
Please just say yes and don't decline!
I promise I'd treat you diff'rently
From all your lover wannabe's!


Because if you'd choose to agree,
That, for today, mine you would be.
I won't give you the moon or stars,
Nor would I give you choc'late bars!

I would not give you diamonds,
Nor expensive lavish garments.
And surely not a dinner date,
Nor a fancy flower bouquet!

Because anyone can buy them
But then leave you sad and alone
Instead I'd write for you a poem
And promise you'd always and forever be

The one I'd love to call my own!
