And then morning would break;
Trumpets would sing triumphant.
Warriors would lay down their arms
And cheer for the battle they've won.

The Boxer's Quest
"Seven... Eight... Nine... Ten!"
"The referee is giving the signal... Yes! The match is over! After twelve rounds of intense boxing action, we have a winner by knock out!"
"Talk about a clincher, partner, that match went down the wire..."

Uranometria
Your touch, your grace, your beauty
I see through frosted window panes
Of winter, of sadness, as autumn fades
And white crystals settle in for the season.

Call from an Angel
"Hello"
"Hello. You called again."
"Yeah, is now a bad time?"
"No no, it's just that, it hadn't been long since you last called..."
"Don't you want me to call you anymore?"
"No no, not that..."
"Then what's the problem?"
The Man Who Lost His Precious Treasure
"Sir, have you seen my most precious treasure? I seem to have dropped it somewhere..."
"Sir, can you help me find my most precious treasure? I don't seem to remember where I last put it."
"Ma'am, would you please help me search for something?"
"Anyone? Please? I really really need this treasure..."
"Help me... Please?"

Motions of the Worn and the Used
Moving takes time, takes pain,
From one corner of the room to the other.
Running, walking, crawling, struggling;
Clawing at the ceiling just to get by.

Paradiso
Gold and bronze and clay
Paints the shining horizon.
Courtesans swing and sway;
Fending synthetic passion.
